I would like to introduce the final department.
To be honest , I had a bad impression of this department until now.
However ,I realized that the tea ceremony(SADO) can be beneficial or harmful depending on the attributes of the participants, so I finally decided to give it a try while keeping this in mind.
So I’m not even a beginner yet. I will shamelessly discuss this in detail.

When I first went to a flower arranging(KADO) exhibition,I felt as if it was a place to showcase the pyramid-shaped class of the organization,as the location and the size of the works displayed seemed to be determined entirely according to the hierarchy.
The superiority and inferiority were by the participant’s rank.
Just as there is a seating order from the top to the bottom at a company meeting, from excutives to new employees.
It has become a virtue for those of lower status to demonstrate to those of higher that their own works is inferior.
But I think that stressed at work every day will actually increase the stress of doing the activities in their leisure time.

In Japanese traditional performing arts, such as dance and instruments, just like ballet and piano school,the instructor has the students practice daily, and the presentation is done so that everyone understands the learning stage of each student.
The instructor also puts on a performance at the end,but if it goes too far and shows off dominance ,it will leave a bad impression on the sutudents’ parents.
That’s why I felt that KADO was the complete opposite of traditional performing arts,where participants perform equally regardless of their skill level.
In fact,I often hear from Western flower arrangement instructors and students that they once learned KADO,but ended up quitting it because they felt it was too restrictive.

As for Japanese tea ceremony(SADO), Sen no Rikyu’s `WABICHA(侘茶)’ during the Sengoku (千利休)period was originally one that placed more emphasis on spirituality than formality ,even though it conflicted with Hideyoshi Toyotomi(豊臣秀吉leader of Japanese SAMURAI in Sengoku period)who was fond of showiness.
However, since then, many schools(流派) of movement have sprung up, mainly from disciples of Oribe Furuta(古田織部) and each school has created a vast number of movement styles as a rule that everyone in their own organization must absolutely follow.
I thought that it is a complete waste of time ,memorization ,and money to learn a huge number of different forms in such schools,and that it is much more meaningful to practice the instrument in my own way and be able to play .
What futher spurred this thought was that at Ya〇〇 Chie〇〇〇(bulletin board on internet of a Japanese famous agency )
I often saw people with SADO experience making vicious attacks on others.
Also,although I cannot go into details ,I have heard that at meetings held only among masters(mainly women?)of a certain school,where conflicts occur due to arrogant claim that are unbelievable.
Even those who are to attached to SADO become arrogant and insane because they have only gradually mastered the formalities ,but believe that those who have not mastered it are barbaric and they are more classy than those.(They have no experience studying for entrance exams or work at company that they don’t even have the common sense (achieving success or social status is great,ashamed of laziness).

Separately, the male manager whose business involves manufacturing and selling pottery,tea leaves,Japanese sweets,etc, often said that he once learned SADO for a time in order to get a feel for how his own goods are actually treated in the world of SADO and that experience was very useful.
So my conclusion is that SADO is a step-by-step learning of movements set by each school , but it is also a great opportunity to gain knowledge about history ,pottery,tea leaves,Japanese sweets,traditional paintings ,and calligraphy.

In Japan,it is not limited to traditional etiquette,even in the world of sports ,arts and crafts ,and music ,(which are originally enjoyed as hobbies by individuals) ,there is belief that members should focus on that and achieve high results ,even at the expense of other things,just like in religion.
There are restrictions that often exclude those who want to enjoy themselves at their own pace.
We also thought that understanding the positive and negative aspects of the current state of Japanese traditional etiquette is a shortcut to avoid falling into the trap of glorifying Japan simply because Japanese people ,unlike foreigners ,adhere to social rules.
We would appreciate it if you could tell us about your feelings ,joys ,and suffering as you begin to learn traditional etiquette while working.
